INSTRUCTOR TRAINING: FAQs

Iththttps://www.mystrydeFOR WHICH LOCATIONS ARE YOU HIRING?

At MAC, we typically run instructor training programs 1-2x per year, in the Spring and Fall. When will the next training opportunity be?

Depending on demand, the next instructor training program will run in Fall 2026 with applications opening in August 2026.

WHAT DOES THE PROCESS LOOK LIKE AFTER I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?

Once applications are open, our team will review all applications and contact everyone who is invited to audition. For those who are invited to audition, you will be given an audition date based on location and time. Audition locations will be determined based on applicant pool. After auditions, candidates will be informed if they ave been selected for the training program. The training program typically focuses on BOTH MAC studio rooms, the tread room and the strength room and typically runs 8-10 weeks. Trainees can expect that they will meet once a week via zoom and once a week in person (studio TBA) for mic practice. Some weekend times will be included as a part of training.

I AM NOT CERTIFIED, CAN I STILL APPLY?

Yes! While certifications are certainly valuable, we do not require that you have a group fitness certification. If selected to be an instructor, we do require that you get your Level 1 CFSC Certification (https://www.certifiedfsc.com/) within 6 months of starting to teach. Furthermore, we will host a barbell education series on our major lifts: Dead lift, bench press, back squat, hip trust and other push/pull movement patterns.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR INSTRUCTORS IN BOTH ROOMS?

Yes! We love when our instructors can teach in both studio rooms. However, we recognize that particular class formats may not be for everyone and we will work with you prior to the the audition and training kickoff to identify how your strengths and preferences can play into training and the overall class schedule.

WHAT OTHER REQUIREMENTS DO YOU HAVE FOR INSTRUCTORS?

At MAC our strongest instructors are the ones who are part of our community and know the clients well. We require that instructors teach a minimum of 4 classes per week, including at least one class per weekend. We also ask that instructors are taking class themselves at least 2x per week! Being in the studio is the best way to learn and grow your base! If you are interested in applying for the next round, take as many classes as you can between now and then.

I HAVEN’T BEEN TO MYSTRYDE BUT AM INTERESTED IN COACHING, SHOULD I STILL APPLY?

If you haven’t been to a Mystryde class, you will want to make sure that you get to at least a tread-based class and a Power class prior. If you don’t know the class types, how we cue or our vibes, you will likely be confused at auditions. Not to mention, it just makes good sense to know a place before you decide you want to work there!

I STILL HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS. HOW CAN I GET MORE INFO?

We have answers! Please email info@mystryde.com and we can get your questions in front of the correct person.

IS THERE A COST ASSOCIATED WITH TRAINING?

Yes. The MAC Instructor Training Program requires considerable time and resources from our instructors and management team. The codt of the training will be communicated when applications go live. However, we completely understand that this may pose a problem for some and we NEVER want the cost of the program to prevent anyone from applying or auditioning. If the cost is a concern, please apply anyway and we can work together to figure something out!

ANY ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO FROM NOW UNTIL APPLICATIONS ARE REVIEWED?

Come to classes and get to know the team! Some of our best instructors were clients for many years before they put on the mic. Part of the audition process is understanding the language, the formats and the workouts, so the more you come to class, the better off you’ll be
