HYROX Boston Group Training Program


HYROX is coming back to Boston October 8-11th and MAC is ready to take it on full force. We're launching a HYROX training group to get you competition ready with a strong community by your side. Our experienced coaches have a proven track record in competitions and will get you race ready with a training plan, weekly group workouts, technique workshops, sims and more.

PROGRAM INCLUDES

  • Early access sign ups to HYROX Boston (April 28th!)

  • 6 week Base Building Plan by Brendan Shea (if you sign up by May 22nd)

  • 12 week training plan by Brendan Shea starting July 13th

  • Weekly workout at your MAC studio (no extra cost)

  • Designated HYROX group coach at your MAC studio to lead workouts, workshops, meet ups, and more.

HYROX FAQS

What is HYROX?
HYROX is a fitness competition that has gotten extremely popular all over the world. The competition consists of a total of 5 miles of running broken into 8 x 1k distances, and 8 exercises. We know HYROX can be intimidating, but from our experience it was one of the most fun races we've done and MAC clients who joined our program last year are hooked!

When is competition and sign ups?
You have about 9 days to decide if you want to sign up for the competition. Early Registration (for affiliate gyms like MAC) starts April 28th. It sells out FAST so this is your time to decide. 

What is the format of the race?
Alternate between a 1k run, and the below exercises (in order). Trust us when we say, MAC clients are especially good at this race because you are used to running. All three MAC studios will have access to all of the equipment needed for the 8 exercises.

What are the options for racing?
Singles: Complete the entire race on your own
Doubles: Complete the race with a friend. Both partners must run the entire distance, but you can break up the exercises however you'd like between the two of you.
Relay: Grab a group of 4, and each of you do 2 runs and 2 exercises to complete the competition as a team.

Why sign up so early?
While the early registration to sign up for the HYROX race starts April 28th, you must be a MAC member or have signed up for the MAC HYROX training program to get early access. Early access makes it much more likely you'll get into the race. If you need early access to the race, and know you'll want to train with us, we recommend signing up for the training group ASAP so you'll get your early access code. You can sign up for the MAC HYROX training group starting this Tuesday, through mid May.

Why join the MAC HYROX training group?
We are here to make sure you are prepared and have a community keeping you motivated and having fun. Our instructors have a lot of experience and success in HYROX, and our group last year had a blast training together and getting to know each other. Each studio will have 1-2 coaches leading a studio group, weekly workouts, workshops, sims, and more.
